Alloggiati Web

Alloggiati Web automation: guest registrations filed for you

Maurice automatically sends your guests’ details to Alloggiati Web, the Italian State Police portal, on time and for every booking. The data comes straight from the online check-in, each registration goes out as soon as it’s complete, and you keep the receipt for every submission.

  • Fully automatic, nothing to upload
  • Guest documents collected and checked
  • Sent as soon as the data is complete
  • Every receipt kept for you

Police registrations that file themselves

No more evenings retyping passports into the Questura’s portal, and no need to be in Italy to do it. Maurice takes the data from the check-in and submits it for you.

Filed for you, automatically

Maurice files every registration on Alloggiati Web under your property’s own account. No files to export and upload by hand.

Documents collected and checked

Guests upload their ID during online check-in and Maurice collects and checks every document. No passports to retype, far fewer mistakes.

Always on time

Maurice sends each registration as soon as every guest’s data is complete, so you stay within the legal deadlines without thinking about it.

Receipts at hand

You have the Alloggiati Web receipt for every submission, without logging into the portal.

One property or a hundred

Each property uses its own Alloggiati Web credentials, which suits managers with apartments in several cities and under several Questure.

Long stays: your call

Stays of 30 nights or more can follow different rules, so you stay in control and decide case by case how to report them.

What Italian law requires, in short

Anyone hosting guests in Italy, whether in a short-term rental, a B&B or a hotel, must report their identities to the local police headquarters (Questura) through Alloggiati Web. The obligation comes from article 109 of the TULPS public-security law and was extended to short-term rentals by article 19-bis of Decree-Law 113/2018. In practice:

  • guests must be reported within 24 hours of arrival;
  • for stays of 24 hours or less, the deadline is 6 hours from arrival;
  • every guest is reported, with ID document details for the single guest, the head of family or the group leader;
  • login credentials are issued by the Questura responsible for the property’s area.

The manual procedure, receipts and penalties are explained step by step in our Alloggiati Web guest registration guide. This is an Italian obligation, and Maurice handles it for properties anywhere in Italy.

How Alloggiati Web automation works

  1. 01

    Connect your property’s credentials

    Enter the Alloggiati Web credentials issued to you by the Questura. You do it once per property.

  2. 02

    The guest checks in online

    They enter their details and upload each guest’s ID through the online check-in for rentals in Italy, with no app. Maurice collects and checks the documents, so nobody has to retype them.

  3. 03

    Maurice submits the registration

    As soon as every guest’s data is complete, Maurice files the registration on Alloggiati Web automatically and on time.

  4. 04

    You keep every receipt

    Maurice keeps the Alloggiati Web receipts for you. You keep track from the dashboard, without opening the police portal.

Alloggiati Web, ISTAT and tourist tax in one check-in

The same data is also needed for tourism statistics: Maurice also sends it automatically to the regional portals with automatic Ross1000 and ISTAT reporting. In the same check-in, the guest pays the tourist tax by card through automatic tourist tax collection. One step for the guest, far less manual work for you. Setting up a new rental? Frequently asked questions

Does Maurice actually file the registrations on Alloggiati Web?

Yes. Maurice files every registration on Alloggiati Web for you, automatically: no files to export or upload by hand, and you keep the receipt for every submission. The credentials stay in the name of your property, as the Questura’s procedure requires.

How quickly are registrations sent?

As soon as every guest’s data is complete, Maurice files the registration automatically. The law requires submission within 24 hours of arrival, or within 6 hours for stays of 24 hours or less, so it’s best for guests to complete online check-in before they arrive.

How do I make sure guests check in on time?

Access instructions are released once check-in is complete, so guests have a good reason to finish it before they arrive. The dashboard shows where each booking’s check-in stands, and you can nudge a guest in the chat at any time. As soon as the data is complete, Maurice submits the registration.

I live abroad. Can I still comply with Alloggiati Web?

Yes, as long as your property has its Alloggiati Web credentials from the local Questura. Once they’re connected to Maurice, guests check in online and registrations are filed without you being in Italy. Bear in mind that identifying guests is a separate matter: read our guide to managing an Airbnb in Italy remotely for practical setups.

Does it work for hotels and B&Bs?

Yes. The reporting obligation applies to all accommodation and Maurice handles it the same way: each booking, with its guests, is submitted with the property’s credentials. See the pages on online check-in for hotels and on B&Bs and guesthouses for details.
