About Maurice Assistant
Maurice Assistant is an AI agent for short-term rentals, hotels, B&Bs and mid-term rentals in Italy, built by Maurice Assistant Srl (Milan, Via Mauro Macchi 58; founder Matteo Anzidei). Matteo Anzidei, founder
Maurice Assistant was founded by Matteo Anzidei, who started building the product in 2023 and incorporated Maurice Assistant Srl in Milan in 2025. The aim is to take repetitive work off hosts and property managers — answering the same questions over and over, collecting documents, filing guest registrations, chasing payments — so they have time for their guests and for growing the business.
Matteo also writes the guides on the Maurice blog about Italian short-term rental rules and automation, such as the one on the Italian CIN code and on Alloggiati Web guest registration.
Our mission
Take the repetitive work away from hosts without taking away their control. Maurice answers, collects, files and charges, and asks for the host’s help only when it’s really needed. It doesn’t just talk to guests: it talks to the host too and does what the host tells it. And the host can step in whenever they want.
Maurice was born in Italy, where hosting comes with many specific obligations: reporting guests to the State Police, ISTAT statistics through portals that differ from region to region, and a tourist tax with different rules in every municipality. That’s why Maurice is built around them: police registration, ISTAT data and tourist tax are part of the check-in flow. For foreign owners with property in Italy, it means the Italian paperwork is handled while you’re abroad.
